More new connections. Less budget spent reaching your own base.
A telecom site serves the whole base: topping up, paying bills, checking an upgrade date. Paid campaigns pull those customers in alongside the few visitors ready to switch network. Iris tells the two apart and prices each campaign on the new business it brings.
What gets in the way
The base swamps the buyers
Top-ups, bills, data add-ons, upgrade checks, support. Customers you could reach for free through the app or a text click a paid ad to get to their account. The platforms record an engaged visit.
Every phone launch fills the site with window-shoppers
Launch week and Black Friday bring the year's highest traffic. Much of it is people comparing colors and specifications on your device pages before buying somewhere else, or not at all. Add-to-basket means little when the basket holds a handset on a two-year contract.
SIM-only, handset and broadband share one target
A SIM-only plan, a flagship handset contract and a fiber line differ several times over in value. Brand, device, tariff and offer campaigns all chase the same switcher, and Performance Max shows little of where its money went.
What Iris does about it
The base measured, then taken out of the signal
Iris shows the share of existing customers each campaign brings. Iris Signal keeps logins and support visits out of what Google and Meta learn from, so their bidding goes after switchers.
A score that sees past the basket
A model trained on your own site scores every visit from 0 to 100 on how past buyers behaved. High intent and add-to-basket overlap by only 20 to 30%. The score finds buyers the basket never shows and separates them from people reading specifications.
Each campaign judged against its own kind
Orders are counted once, on your own site, for every channel. Brand is compared with brand and generic with generic, and a price limit per product stops SIM-only and fiber being held to the same number.
A decision you might see
An all-visitors audience on a telecom site is mostly customers you already have. This is what paying to reach your own base looks like in the plan.
Instructions we might write with you
- GoalFiber broadband is this quarter's focus. Accept a higher cost per order there than on SIM-only.
- Season and timingNew flagship handsets launch in September. Expect traffic to climb two weeks before. Do not raise device campaigns on visits alone.
- About the businessA handset contract is worth about four times a SIM-only plan to us.
- Campaign noteBrand Search protects our name. Never stop it.
